My son is a huge Five Nights at Freddy's Fan, and it has been a hit with many kids! While I can't say I totally understand the hype, I do know that I love the smile that lit up my son's face when I made him one of these baskets. It is so incredibly unique, unlike anything you can get in the store. This basket makes a fantastic gift for all Five Nights at Freddy's fans. They feel so special to receive something that reflects something they enjoy so much.
I would consider this an intermediate crochet pattern. There are written and video instructions included for all of the special stitches. You can follow the pattern as it is written, and the basket will measure 18 inches in diameter, 6 inches tall and 7 inches across. It will easily hold 1 1/4 pounds of candy for Easter or Halloween, and it can fit 26 regular sized Easter eggs inside.
Because there is no specific gauge for this pattern, you can easily bump up a hook size or a few hook sizes to increase the size of the basket. It is written with instructions for a 6", 8" and 10" base with worsted weight yarn and an F crochet hook. I like the structure of the basket with this tight weave. However, you may choose to crochet it however you like!
-F5 3.75mm hook
-G6 for eyes and ears only
-6" cake board, optional 8" or 10" for larger sized baskets
-approximately 4.5 feet of 22 gauge wire, 5 feet or 5.5 feet respectively for larger sized baskets
-1 skein dark brown worsted weight
-half an oz light brown worsted weight for muzzle
-half an oz amount gray for ears/tie
-small amount blue for eyes
-small amount black for eyes, noes and eyebrows
-small amount white for eyes
-small amount polyfil stuffing for muzzle

Absolutely! I love to make something that is just what you are looking for! I have been crocheting non-stop for 8 years, and I am typically confident that I can stitch up the item you are dreaming of. Even if it is just a simple color change, don't be afraid to ask.
Use a loose measuring ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the widest part of the head, placing the ribbon flat on the forehead and wrapping around above the ears.
The main difference in these sizes is the length. The hats and clothes fit an average age range. Be sure to use the measurement chart in the listing to find the best fit. I typically recommend the 1 to 3 years size for first birthdays to get a longer wear out of the item.
Most of my items can be machine washed and dried with no fear of shrinkage. Any items with specific care instructions beyond this will specifically state it in the listing.
